What We Do

The work, and how it's done.

Twelve services, one method: read the ground first, move the least amount of material that does the job, and hand it back finished. Pick a division below, or describe your site and we'll tell you what's involved.

DIV 01 Heavy Road & Earthworks

For developers, municipalities, industrial clients and anyone who needs real volumes of dirt moved and a road that will still be there in ten years.

Machine control grading, base built in compacted lifts, proof-rolling before anything goes down on top of it. Sequence set around the freeze–thaw window so the work lands when it can be finished.

01

Road construction & gravel roads

Full road prism from subgrade to base: clearing and grubbing, cut to design grade, fill placed and compacted in lifts, shaped with a grader, then shoulder pull-back and final grade. Built to survive spring, not just to pass inspection in August.

02

Mass earthmoving & site balancing

Cut and fill across the whole site, with stockpiles placed deliberately: high ground for dry material, low for wet, so nobody hauls the same dirt twice. Overburden haul-away and delivered fill when the volumes don't balance on site.

03

Industrial pads & hardstands

Level, crowned and compacted pads with proper drainage fall built in. Crane pads and truck aprons sized for the actual load, with a surface that keeps water off the working area instead of collecting in it.

04

Bulk clearing & grubbing

Brush, stumps and organic material cleared and processed: windrowed for reuse on site or hauled off. Topsoil segregated and stockpiled clean, because once it's mixed into the overburden it's gone.

05

Subgrade & base compaction

GPS and machine-control grading, then compaction with proof-rolling at each lift. Where the ground won't take the roller we tell you before it becomes a problem on someone else's schedule. Proof-roll is cheap. A failed subgrade is not.

06

Lease roads & access

Rough access that gets equipment in and keeps it moving, with ditches and crossings placed as the road is built. Maintenance and re-grading through the season as traffic and weather call for it.

DIV 02 Residential & Commercial Site Work
Graded residential approach with rock retaining and geotextile at a rural property Site work: Rocky View County

For acreage owners, home builders, developers and businesses who need a site turned from rough land into something you can build on or hand over.

On smaller sites the details matter more, not less: the pitch that lets water run off your driveway, the swale that keeps it off your foundation, the grade that meets the surveyor's marker instead of arguing with it.

01

Site preparation & rough grade

Raw land made workable: vegetation cleared, topsoil stripped and stockpiled, then cut and filled to rough grade. The stage where getting drainage right saves real money later, and the stage most often rushed.

02

Final & fine grading

Finish grade to survey or plan, backfill against foundations and walks, and site cleanup. The framer, the landscaper and the inspection all pass, rather than tidy enough for the machine to get out.

03

Driveways, approaches & culverts

Residential and rural approaches with correct grade and crossfall, a culvert sized for the actual flow, and headwalls where they matter. Built so the first serious melt doesn't take the gravel with it.

04

Drainage & water management

Swales, ditching, catch basins and retention worked into the grade as it goes in. Set from the finished elevation rather than the raw one, so basins catch what they're meant to.

05

Trenching & underground prep

Trenching for water, power, gas, septic and communications, with bedding, backfill and compaction handled properly. Depth and slope to the applicable standard, left ready for the trade that has to work in it.

06

Pond & watercourse excavation

Ponds, dugouts, low-spot grading and watercourse work. Where permits or environmental review apply, we work to the requirements and coordinate with the trades that need to sign off.

DIV 03 Demolition & Hazardous Materials

Run by Gerald Tchio. Interior strip-out, complete building demolition, asbestos removal, mould remediation and foundation excavation.

This work is sequenced differently from earthworks. Material gets identified before it is disturbed, contained while it comes out, and proven clear before excavation starts. The sequencing is the whole job.

01

Interior demolition

Selective strip-out of commercial and residential interiors, sequenced around what stays, what gets salvaged and what has to be proven clear first.

02

Complete building demolition

Full structural teardown and removal, including foundation and slab. Handled from the controlled side, not worked around.

03

Asbestos removal

Suspected asbestos-containing material is identified before it is disturbed. Handling, containment and disposal follow the applicable provincial requirements for the project.

04

Mould remediation

Containment, source control and clearance. Scoped to stop the source rather than treat the surface.

05

Foundation excavation

Basement and foundation digs to layout, including excavation under existing slabs, then backfill and compaction to finish.

06

Site clearing after demolition

Rubble processing, haul-away and backfill, handing the site over ready for excavation or construction rather than leaving it rough.

Also Worth Knowing

What we don't
pretend to do.

It costs everyone time to find out on site. So: we're an earthworks and site-work contractor. We do earthworks, site work, demolition, asbestos removal and mould remediation. We don't pour concrete, lay asphalt, frame buildings or run utility installation crews. We work alongside those trades, usually earlier in the schedule than anyone else involved.

If your project needs something in that list, we'll tell you early and point you at someone reliable.
